Start HerePeople often tell me they don’t write because they don’t know where to begin. That’s my first tip-start by writing the part that is easiest for you.

 

I break up my writing into sections and I start with the part that is easiest to write. By getting some of my thoughts on paper, the rest starts flowing. Here’s what I mean.

 

For me, when I write a manuscript, I look at the different sections: abstract, introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion and conclusion and then decide which is easiest for me to write. Usually I start with the materials and methods or the results section.  Starting with the section that is easiest for me helps me start a new project.
