People often tell me they don’t start a project because they don’t have the time. Often, people feel that they need a lot of time for a project. I recommend breaking projects up into small sections that are doable in a short amount of time. Then, book your project into your day’s plan. This way, you will have the time set aside to work on the project. If you do this each day, by the end of the week you will have worked on your project for a good deal of time.
For example, I schedule an hour of writing each day to work on my personal projects. I write for that amount of time, then I stop writing, to let it incubate. By the end of a week, I have already written for a number of hours, my project has made progress. I do this with all of my projects.
At the end of the week, I feel a sense of accomplishment. You will too.
Try it!
